Trainmaster Locomotive Simulator Benefits and Features of the Trainmaster Simulator ►Full Size AAR Control Stand Features the look and feel of the railroad industry’s most common locomotive control stand with a built-in PC storage and keyboard drawer, plus shelves for placement of monitor gauges and graphs. Uses a simple USB connection to PC. ►Realistic Train Performance & Accuracy Precise simulation of real world trains validated through testing against real world data resulting in extremelyrealistic train handling and train performance. All empirical and physics factors have been considered and included. ►Cutting Edge Graphics High quality 3D graphics that draw the “engineer” into the “reality” of the training experience. The ability to recreate a site specific familiar territory and rolling stock in exact graphical detail. ►In-Train Force Displays Real time in-train dynamic force and track profile graphs continuously scroll as the train moves on LCD monitors. Brake pressures, buff and draft forces as well as other essential information can be monitored. Graph display type and configuration can be customized as an option. ►High Quality Sound Real life audio cues that reflect actual railroad sounds and enhance the training experience. ►Cost Effective The use of relatively inexpensive off-the-shelf hardware and software tools, and their vertical integration, make for cost-effective simulation solutions. Less cost per simulator allows more simulators for greater student throughput. More simulation time for less money. ►US Designed & Manufactured TrainMaster was jointly developed by PI Engineering and Rail Sciences Inc. This product combines the graphical presentation expertise of PI Engineering with Rail Sciences’ in depth knowledge of train dynamics and train performance calculations. ►A Platform, not just a Single-Purpose Solution TrainMaster also has conductor and RCO training programs using the same platform as the locomotive simulator. This gives the customer a consistent software platform that may be expanded as simulation training needs change. Many items such as routes, rolling stock, scenery can be used across the various simulator types because they all use the same platform. ►Software & Hardware Integration The simulator hardware and software were developed from the ground up to work seamlessly together. ►Rail Sciences Support Rail Sciences will provide installation, training, customization of features, and support for the hardware and software. ►Standard PC Components Simulator software runs on standard PC hardware giving the ability to easily upgrade as software or hardware is enhanced. Off-the-shelf components make servicing easy and inexpensive too. ►Customization Have a specific training goal? We can build the hardware you need to link to a computer training solution. Our flexible software architecture enables us to script training situations as required, all under one roof, minimizing development time and support issues. ►Customized Gauges High fidelity brake and power gauges are easily seen on an LCD monitor and can be customized for appearance and configuration as an option. ►Easily Add New Routes/Territory Create cost-effective specific real-world routes that simulate actual operating territory from available digital track and terrain data. ►Simple Consist Building Tool Quickly build consists from a detailed library of cars. Drag and drop tool allows for easy consist creation. Each car can be customized if required with control of over 130 parameters per car including braking performance, load levels, and many others. ►Multiple Motive Power Configurations The motive power can be arranged for any configuration including single or multiple head-end, distributed power, and/or helper units. Just drag and drop the power where it’s needed. ►Score Performance Simulator software can monitor almost all performance factors that you may want to track. This can be taken further to provide an objective scoring system based on custom parameters. ►Safety Rules and safety procedures can be built into the simulator to emphasize and monitor safety and rules compliance, and can be made part of the scoring system. Safety rules can be fully customized if required. ►Flexible Implementation The simulator can be set up as part of a static training facility or can be portable to bring the training to where it’s needed. One of the options is to mount the simulator in a self-contained trailer. |
